S-Game opens pre-orders for Phantom Blade Zero and unveils Donnie Yen in new 11-minute trailer

S-Game opened pre-orders for Phantom Blade Zero and released an 11-minute gameplay trailer revealing Donnie Yen in a new announcement on August 12, 2026. The trailer showcased expanded boss combat and additional story material ahead of the title's release.
Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. The developer announced two editions of the game and said extra accessories and special costumes will be offered to players who pre-order either edition. S-Game also noted those pre-order items can be unlocked through gameplay.
The 11-minute trailer follows the character Soul deeper into his journey, introducing new faces and encounters while presenting extended combat sequences against bosses and further narrative details. The video was presented as a broader gameplay reveal, intended to give players a longer look at the game's systems and encounters.
Donnie Yen was the most prominent surprise in the trailer; S-Game confirmed, "Donnie Yen has served as Creative Consultant on Phantom Blade Zero since 2023." The developer credited Yen with contributing to the game's martial arts choreography and confirmed he performed the facial capture and motion capture for the character Mo Yuan.
S-Game outlined the game's commercial options: the Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 and the Deluxe Edition costs $69.99. The Deluxe Edition features two brand new outfits, a digital artbook and the official digital soundtrack, with additional digital media included for that edition.
Pre-orders are live on the PlayStation Store and on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and players who pre-order will receive extra accessories and special costumes that can alternatively be earned in-game. S-Game said the storefront rollouts are available now.
The developer announced a dedicated PlayStation State of Play scheduled for August 17, 2026, where it plans to reveal more exclusive gameplay; the company also acknowledged there are rumors a public demo may be released during that presentation.
