S. Meghana announced her retirement from all forms of cricket on October 23, 2026, writing the news in an Instagram post. The 30-year-old India top-order batter said she was stepping away from playing while remaining committed to the sport.

Meghana, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, last represented India in November 2022 and has played in the Women's Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants. She has been described in coverage as a top-order batter. Her international career included appearances in both T20 and ODI formats.

"As I announce my retirement from all formats of cricket as a player, my heart is overflowing with gratitude," Meghana wrote in an Instagram post. "The field has been my second home, teaching me resilience, humility, and giving me memories and friendships that I will carry for a lifetime," she wrote.

She made her India T20 debut against the West Indies in 2016 and played her first ODI six years later. Across the two international formats she recorded a fifty in each. Those milestones formed the core of her international batting record as reported.

"While my cricket days come to an end, my bond with cricket will never break. I will always stay deeply connected to the game and intend to dedicate my life to giving back to the sport, mentoring the next generation, and serving the game that gave me everything," she added.

Meghana's retirement leaves her immediate plans focused on mentorship and service to the game she referenced in her statement.
