Saishiva and Bhuvan win at Madras; Viswas continues unbeaten run

Teenagers Saishiva Sankaran, Bhuvan Bonu and Viswas Vijayaraj won races at the second round of the MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 4W-2026 at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday. Saishiva took the MRF Formula 2000 race, Bhuvan won the MRF Formula 1600 race, and Viswas led a DTS Racing 1-2-3 in the Formula LGB 1300 Open class.

Saishiva Sankaran of Pune, 18, recorded his fourth consecutive victory of the season in MRF F2000; Visakhapatnam’s Bhuvan Bonu, 16, notched his third straight win, which included a double in the first round last month. Nellore’s Viswas Vijayaraj continued his unbeaten run while heading the Formula LGB 1300 Open podium. The Formula LGB 1300 Open class featured a grid of 24 cars at the Madras International Circuit.

Provisional Race-1 results in MRF F2000 (8 laps) listed Saishiva Sankaran first in 12:52.987, Ishaan Madesh second in 12:53.390 and Krishay Gutte third in 13:02.171.

Provisional Race-1 in MRF F1600 (8 laps) showed Bhuvan Bonu first in 14:02.774, Tanmay Kothari second in 14:05.299 and S. Gyan third in 14:07.075.

In Formula LGB 1300 Open (Race-1, 2 laps) DTS Racing completed a podium sweep with Viswas Vijayaraj first in 03:54.047, Liron Jaden Samuels second in 03:55.174 and T.S. Diljit third in 03:55.260.

Formula LGB 1300 Juniors (2 laps) provisional results recorded Kaveen Diyyan Rajapaksa (Momentum Motorsports) first in 04:02.111, Pranav Ramasamy (Tiruppur, DTS Racing) second in 04:05.547 and Shatveer Shetty (Momentum Motorsports) third in 04:05.604.
