Sam Curran to miss remainder of English season after groin surgery; Test comeback delayed

England all-rounder Sam Curran has been ruled out for the rest of the English season and will undergo an operation on Friday for a groin injury, ending hopes of a Test comeback this summer.

Another all-rounder, Will Jacks, is recovering from appendix surgery.

Both players’ availability for the Sri Lanka series remains uncertain.
