Sarthak Chavan steals last-lap win as Petronas TVS Racing secures 1-2 at Madras International Circuit

Sarthak Chavan, 19, produced a last-lap pass to claim victory and deliver a 1-2 for Petronas TVS Racing in the Super Sport 301-400cc race at the MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 2W-2026 at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday.

The meeting at the Madras International Circuit featured multiple classes, with Super Stock 165cc Intermediate and Super Stock 301-400cc Open run concurrently. Other class winners on the day included Ann Jennifer (Motul Sparks Racing) in Super Stock 165cc Intermediate and Allwin Xavier (RACR Castrol Power1) in Super Stock 301-400cc Open. Savion Sabu (Madrabbit Racing) took the Pro-Stock 200cc Open race after moving up from sixth, while R. Ashwin (Pvt.) topped Stock 301-400cc (Novice).

In Super Sport 301-400cc (Race-1) provisional results, Sarthak Chavan (Petronas TVS Racing) finished first in 11min, 01.971secs, with team-mate Chiranth Vishwanath second in 11:02.264 and Rahil Pillarisetty (RACR Castrol Power1) third in 11:02.609.

The Super Stock 301-400cc Open (Race-1) was won by Allwin Xavier (RACR Castrol Power1) in 11:41.198, followed by Seshadri (Motul Gusto Racing) in 11:41.824 and Kamal Navas (Team Rockers Racing) in 11:42.805.

Ann Jennifer AS (Motul Sparks Racing) dominated the Super Stock 165cc Intermediate (Race-1), taking first place in 12:48.559, with M. Ajai Xavier (Ipone Yakuza Racing India) second in 12:51.139 and S. Anand Kumar (Ipone Yakuza Racing India) third in 12:55.914.

In Pro-Stock 200cc Open (Race-1) Savion Sabu (Madrabbit Racing) won in 11:54.910, R.S. Abdul Basim (Chandra LGE Racing) was second in 11:55.619 and Senthil Kumar (Team Rockers Racing) third in 11:55.666; Hari Haran (RACR Castrol Power1) won Stock 130-16cc (Novice) (Race-1) in 13:11.711, with Yashwant Varma (Motul Sparks Racing) and Faruk Ali Sohtun (Motul Sparks Racing) next in 13:12.286 and 13:12.483 respectively.

Stock 301-400cc Novice (Race-1) saw R. Ashwin (Pvt.) first in 12:19.448, G Balaji (VEEDOL C2 Racing) second in 12:19.498 and Aaron Joseph (RACR Castrol Power1) third in 12:39.529; the Petronas TVS Racing One-Make Championship Open (RR 310) (Race-1) was won by Rajender Beedani in 11:46.679, with R. Hari Haran second in 11:47.751 and Manoj Yesuadiyan third in 11:53.767.

Women (Apache RTR 200) (Race-1, 5 laps) was won by Poojita Anil Kumar in 11:28.499, Drishya Nair finished second in 11:35.942 and Kinjal Raj third in 11:42.814; the Rookie (Apache RTR 200) (Race-1) podium was Pothu Vignesh (13:16.496), Rehbar Islam Baktoo (13:17.396) and C.
