Sarthak Ranjan recalled to Delhi Ranji squad after selection meeting in New Delhi

Sarthak Ranjan was recalled to Delhi’s Ranji Trophy squad when the selection committee met at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday for the opening game of the 2026-27 campaign.
The 30-year-old opening batter is the son of politician Pappu Yadav and had played two Ranji games for Delhi in 2018. He was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL this year. Ayush Badoni will continue as captain and Yash Dhull has been named his deputy.
Head coach Vijay Dahiya, secretary Ashok Sharma and Cricket Advisory Committee chief Sarandeep Singh were also part of the selection meeting at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The panel finalised and announced a 16-member contingent for the season opener. The selections were confirmed at the conclusion of the meeting on Saturday.
The squad named is: Ayush Badoni (Capt.), Yash Dhull (Vice-Capt)., Sanat Sangwan, Sarthak Ranjan, Ayush Doseja, Anuj Rawat (wk), Dev Lakra, Hrithik Shokeen, Navdeep Saini, Simarjeet Singh, Divij Mehra, Money Grewal, Pranav Rajvanshi (wk), Tejasvi Dahiya (wk), Sumit Mathur, Dhruv Kaushik.
Delhi will start its 2026-27 Ranji Trophy campaign against Bengal in Kalyani on October 11. That fixture is the season opener for Delhi.
