Satyavan and Sovereign King stood out during trackwork at Pune on Friday (Aug. 21) morning when horses were exercised at the course.

In the 800m session, Acropolis (Kirtish) and Zucarro (Vivek) recorded 57, 600/42 and were described as easy, while Chagall (Vivek) and Bishop (Kirtish) did 56, 600/42 and moved together freely. Azaadi (Dashrath) and Frenzy (Kaviraj) logged 52, 600/39 and moved neck and neck freely, and Coffee At Eleven (Prasad) posted 53, 600/39 and moved well. Satyavan (N. Bhosale) worked at 48, 600/36 and was noted as an "Excellent display."

During the 1000m work, Appalachian (Omkar) and Starseed (T.S. Jodha) recorded 1-8, 800/52, 600/39 and moved level freely, while Skandha (T.S. Jodha) also did 1-8, 800/52, 600/39 and moved nicely. Sovereign King (Ramswarup) completed the trip in 1-5, 800/51, 600/38 and was described as moving impressively. Imperial Dawn (rb) and Commanchero (Akshay K) were recorded at 1-11, 800/57, 600/43; the former was pushed while the latter was easy when they finished level.

Asterion (Akshay K) covered 1200m in 1-24, with intermediate calls of 1000/1-8, 800/53, 600/40 and worked freely. In gate practice on the inner sand over 1000m, Mandarin Milli (rb) did 1-6, 800/52, 600/40 and moved well. Regal Warrior (Merchant), Pour Me A Peg (rb) and Philatelist (Umesh) posted 1-11, 800/53, 600/40, with Regal Warrior finishing four lengths clear of Pour Me A Peg, who was two lengths ahead of Philatelist.
