Tottenham Hotspur confirmed on 25 August 2026 that they had signed Savinho from Manchester City, with the 22-year-old Brazilian opting to be known at his new club as Sávio. Roberto De Zerbi commented on the signing.

The club paid £75m for the winger, with the deal including up to a further £10m in add‑ons. Sávio said: “It’s taken a while but I’m very happy to be here. It’s a wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world.”

The head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, said: “Sávio is a player who brings energy, imagination and quality in wide positions. He has the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity.”

The experienced defenders Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson have arrived on frees.

Another Manchester City forward, Omar Marmoush, is also expected to join Spurs; his arrival would make him the club’s fifth £50m-plus summer signing after Sávio, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke.
