Scott recalled to Scotland squad for WXV Tests in Australia

Lucia Scott has been recalled to Scotland's women's squad for this month's WXV Global Series Tests against Australia in Sydney and Canberra on 17 and 23 October, interim head coach Dave Butcher announced. Butcher's selection also includes uncapped Nicole Flynn and Imogen Spence.
Lucia Scott has 12 Scotland caps. Injury prevented her from featuring in Scotland's recent home defeats by Canada, New Zealand and Australia in Edinburgh. Rachel Phillips is available again after sitting out the last meeting with Australia because of concussion protocols. Experienced duo Alex Stewart and Emma Wassell miss out on the tour with injury.
The forwards named in the squad are Leah Bartlett (Sale Sharks), Holland Bogan (Glasgow Warriors), Sarah Bonar (Harlequins 53), Becky Boyd and Elliann Clarke (both Glasgow), and Hollie Cunningham (Bristol Bears). Also selected were Eva Donaldson (Sale), Adelle Ferrie (Edinburgh), Evie Gallagher (Bristol), and Rachel Malcolm, capt (Trailfinders). Rounding out the forwards are Elis Martin (Edinburgh), Rachel McLachlan (Montpellier), Molly Poolman (Edinburgh), Lana Skeldon (Bristol), Imogen Spence, Aicha Sutcliffe (both Glasgow), Demi Swann (Exeter Chiefs) and Anne Young (Glasgow).
The backs in the squad include Ceitidh Ainsworth (Glasgow), Leia Brebner-Holden (Edinburgh Rugby), Katie Buchanan (Exeter), Shona Campbell (Sale), Rhea Clarke and Nicole Flynn (both Glasgow). Also named were Rhona Lloyd (Sale), Helen Nelson (Trailfinders), Rachel Philipps, Hannah Ramsay and Chloe Rollie (Edinburgh). The selection is completed by Lucia Scott (Glasgow), Meryl Smith (Bristol) and Evie Wills (Glasgow).
Scotland will meet Australia at Accor Stadium in Sydney on 17 October (03:00 BST). The fixture list then moves to the Gio Stadium in the capital six days later (09:45). These two matches complete this year's WXV Global Series.
Scotland's immediate programme is therefore the two Tests against Australia — Accor Stadium in Sydney on 17 October (03:00 BST) and the Gio Stadium in the capital on 23 October (09:45) — which finish their involvement in this season's WXV Global Series.
