WWE’s Crown Jewel 2026, a Premium Live Event scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has attracted renewed attention after reports of security concerns and possible venue changes, though ticketing updates indicate the show will proceed. Fans have also been discussing John Cena’s reported return to WWE programming as the company moves through the final stretch of its 2026 schedule.

Sources say the promotion has clarified the venue situation and continued preparations for the November 7 event, but uncertainty over safety in the region prompted internal discussions. Fightful Select reported that several WWE stars told management they did not want to be booked for the show because of safety worries, and some performers already slated to appear expressed concerns about travelling. Dave Meltzer earlier stated that none of the WWE superstars had pulled out of traveling to Saudi Arabia, however. Names mentioned in coverage of the issue include Kevin Owens and CM Punk.

Ticketing information shows Crown Jewel was moved from Riyadh Season Stadium to The Venue, also known as ANB Arena, and WWE officials are proceeding under that updated plan. Despite the venue clarification, the reports of travel and safety concerns have remained a point of discussion among talent and staff.

The president of TKO, Mark Shapiro, has reportedly advised employees that they will consider pulling back their events if the regional situation worsens, according to the same coverage. That internal guidance was cited alongside the talent feedback to illustrate wider caution among stakeholders connected to live events in the area.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that Jordynne Grace remains under contract with WWE and has not quietly departed the promotion; her social media biographies drew attention after fans noted they did not mention WWE, but those profiles had not been updated for several months. Grace’s last televised appearance was on the April 17 episode of SmackDown, where she lost to Tiffany Stratton in a Women’s United States Championship number one contender’s match, and she has since appeared on Main Event and in dark matches. There is no confirmed date for her return to televised programming.

WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts confirmed in an interview with Nick Teodoro on The Nick Club Wrestling Happy Hour that he is no longer with AEW and has signed a deal to work for WWE again, adding that he is currently doing some work for the company though he did not elaborate on the terms. Roberts had worked for AEW beginning in 2019, spent time aligned with Lance Archer and later with La Facción Ingobernable, and had not appeared on AEW TV since November 2024; he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.

Reports of a potential new heel faction linking Rusev, Big Cass and Ethan Page surfaced via Self Made Pro, but Fightful Select said none of the three had been told of definitive plans as of last week. Rusev dismissed the speculation as "internet booking" in an interview with TMZ Inside the Ring; Big Cass and Ethan Page recently teamed on Raw to defeat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee, which helped fuel the rumours, and Rusev has been absent from television following an injury suffered in July.

Crown Jewel remains scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh, with updated ticketing showing the event at The Venue/ANB Arena, and WWE's planning for the Premium Live Event is reported to be ongoing.
