Sharath Kamal says Indian athletes will adapt to Asian Games container and cruise-ship accommodation

On September 16, 2026, India’s deputy chef-de-mission A Sharath Kamal said Indian athletes will quickly adapt to the unusual accommodation at the Asian Games, including container rooms and a docked cruise ship.

He said prior preparation would help athletes focus on performance.

Sharath said he was confident of at least one table tennis medal and identified men’s doubles and mixed doubles as among India’s strongest medal chances.
