Sheamus linked to AEW, Naomi update and 946's attacks on The Bloodline in WWE rumor roundup
On October 2, 2026, an online WWE rumor roundup reported speculation that Sheamus could sign with AEW, provided an update on Naomi’s potential return, and detailed the 946 faction’s recent actions against members of The Bloodline.
The piece noted that Sheamus spent over two decades in WWE, winning the WWE Heavyweight Championship once and the WWE Championship three times, and that his contract was set to expire on October 1; WWE moved his name to the Alumni page the same week. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select said it spoke to a source within AEW who indicated there is likely interest in signing Sheamus to a full-time deal, with some support for the idea. The report also referenced broader social-media discussion and insider reporting around several roster returns and storyline developments.
On Raw, Jaida Parker joined Royce Keys and OTM as part of the 946 faction and ran over Jacob Fatu with her car, a development the roundup described as adding new dynamics to the group. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select discussed a potential return for Naomi, who took time off due to her pregnancy. Naomi’s last in-ring appearance was at SummerSlam 2025, where she defended the World title by defeating Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky in a triple threat match.
PWInsider reported that Drew McIntyre was recently spotted at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The 275-pound wrestler is not currently linked to ongoing storylines but was described as physically ready. The five-time WWE Champion has not been seen since losing to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April 2026, having taken a leave of absence to film outside projects.
The roundup detailed the 946 faction’s assault on a former Bloodline member, reporting that they kidnapped Solo Sikoa and ran over Jacob Fatu; those stars, the report said, will not be at Money in the Bank. WrestleVotes believes something similar may be done to the Usos on next week’s Raw to take them out of the mix for the PLE as well. The article noted the storylines extend beyond the Money in the Bank matches.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated Roman Reigns could be part of a War Games match at Survivor Series if 946 cost him the world championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank. Some fans claimed LA Knight would be revealed as a member of the 946, but WrestleVotes stated there are no plans as of now to turn Knight heel.
The 2026 edition of Money in the Bank is set for October 10, 2026, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. WrestleMania 43 is scheduled to take place in April 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, although the promotion has not announced exact dates for the PLE yet.
