Shift Up unveils free Bayonetta DLC for Stellar Blade and Switch 2 demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Shift Up announced that Stellar Blade will continue receiving updates despite a sequel being in development, unveiling a free Bayonetta collaboration DLC and confirming a demo for Nintendo Switch 2 is now available.

Shift Up revealed the full lineup for the Bayonetta Collaboration DLC on the Tokyo Game Show 2026 stage, describing it as a free addition to Stellar Blade. The publisher said the collaboration will include four costumes: Bayonetta, Jeanne, Nun and Black Tresses. The Black Tresses outfit was presented onstage and is an original Bayonetta-inspired design by Hyung-Tae Kim, Director of Stellar Blade.

The Black Tresses outfit was showcased at the event and was cosplayed by Amakawa Seika, credited on social media under the handle @seika_ruru. Images and fan coverage from the Tokyo Game Show 2026 stage highlighted the new costume reveal and the developer’s involvement in its creation. Shift Up packaged the reveal alongside other collaboration details in its TGS presentation.

A demo for Stellar Blade is now available to Nintendo Switch 2 owners as a free download from the Nintendo eShop. Shift Up described the demo as the Complete Edition trial, allowing Switch 2 players to sample the post-apocalyptic action RPG before deciding on a purchase. The company positioned the demo as an opportunity for players on Nintendo’s next hardware to experience the game firsthand.

Shift Up confirmed the collaboration DLC will be released on November 5, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC, while Nintendo Switch 2 players will receive the content as part of the Complete Edition. The developer also said Stellar Blade will continue to receive updates and additional content moving forward.

The Bayonetta collaboration DLC is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026; the Complete Edition demo for Nintendo Switch 2 is available now from the Nintendo eShop.
