SL v IND: Day 4 session timings for Colombo Test

Day four of the second Test between Sri Lanka and India at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo will begin at 09:45 AM IST, with play scheduled across the standard three sessions.

India produced a strong bowling display on the third day and moved closer to a possible win; Sri Lanka began that day on eight for two, trailing by 495 runs and finished at 265 for eight, now 238 runs behind.

Kamil Mishara was dismissed for 19 early on the third day. Pasindu Sooriyabandara made 80 and Kusal Mendis scored 32, the pair adding 87 for the fourth wicket. Captain Dhananjaya de Silva had another poor outing while Sonal Dinusha remained unbeaten on 85.

The first session on Day 4 is listed as 09:45 AM to 12:00 PM IST / 4:15 AM to 6:30 AM GMT / 09:45 AM to 12:00 PM local time. The scheduled lunch interval is 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM IST / 6:30 AM to 7:10 AM GMT / 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM local time. The second session is set for 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM IST / 7:10 AM to 9:10 AM GMT / 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM local time.

Tea is scheduled from 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM IST / 9:10 AM to 9:30 AM / 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM local time and the final session for the day from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST / 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM GMT / 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. There will be an extension of half an hour to make up for remaining overs and timings are subject to change due to weather conditions or match circumstances.

Play will resume on Day 4 at the Sinhalese Sports Club with the first session starting at 09:45 AM IST; India will be looking to claim the remaining two Sri Lankan wickets as early as possible and enforce the follow-on.
