SL v IND: Day Two at Colombo Test to start at 10:00 AM IST; India 300-5 overnight
Sri Lanka and India will resume the second Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Day Two with play scheduled to start at 10:00 AM IST. India closed Day One on 300 for five, with Dhruv Jurel and Saransh Jain at the crease.
After a win in the opening Test, India posted a strong batting display on day one at the Sinhalese Sports Club. KL Rahul was dismissed for 18 and Yashasvi Jaiswal made 45 before Asitha Fernando claimed his wicket. At 66 for two, Devdutt Padikkal (117) and captain Shubman Gill (50) combined for a 120-run third-wicket stand; Padikkal recorded his second century of the series while Gill fell against the run of play. Rishabh Pant retired hurt for three and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 43; the Jadeja–Padikkal partnership took India past 250 before Jadeja fell on the stroke of stumps.
Play on Day Two is organised into three sessions with a lunch and a tea interval. The first session is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST followed by a 40-minute lunch break from 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM IST. The second session runs from 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM IST, then a 20-minute tea break from 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM IST precedes the final session. The final session is due to run from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST, with an extension of half an hour available to make up remaining overs.
Session timings with conversions are: 1st session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST / 4:30 AM to 6:30 AM GMT/ 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM local time. Lunch Break: 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM IST / 6:30 AM to 7:10 AM GMT / 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM local time. 2nd session: 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM IST / 7:10 AM to 9:10 AM GMT/ 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM local time. Tea Break: 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM IST / 9:10 AM to 9:30 AM / 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM local time. 3rd session: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM / 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM / 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
