SmackDown preview: 'Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil' from Charleston on October 30

WWE SmackDown will stage a Halloween-themed episode titled "Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown" on October 30 at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia as the blue brand builds toward Crown Jewel 2026. The show comes a week before Crown Jewel and features multiple championship matches that could affect creative plans for the Premium Live Event.

Three title contests have been announced for the October 30 episode: Undisputed WWE Championship — Sami Zayn (c) vs Trick Williams; Women’s Championship — Chelsea Green (c) vs Nikki Bella; and AAA Cruiserweight Championship — Rey Fenix (c) vs Ricky Saints. Two of the reigning champions, Sami Zayn and Chelsea Green, are already confirmed for the PLE in Saudi Arabia, increasing the stakes for those defenses.

Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn will defend against Trick Williams, who currently holds the United States Championship. Williams issued the challenge after a face-to-face exchange with Zayn during the October 23 SmackDown broadcast; Zayn had been scheduled to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel on November 7. Williams will be looking to add his name to the list of biggest victories by winning the Undisputed Championship, which the preview says leaves Zayn with no choice but to take the fight seriously.

Chelsea Green puts the Women’s Championship on the line against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. Green retained against Roxanne Perez on October 23, and Bella has been pursuing a title opportunity. Green is also slated to face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel, so a loss on October 30 would alter plans heading into the event while a successful defense would provide momentum before her champion-versus-champion match.

Rey Fenix will defend the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints after retaining in a four-way match at AAA Heroes Inmortales when Mini Vikingo was unable to compete because of an injury. Saints receives another chance following recent encounters with Fenix; the build positions Fenix to continue his reign and Saints to try to convert their rivalry into a title victory.

The episode will be Halloween-themed and hosted by Danhausen, with the promotion billing the show as "Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown." Commentary has teased unexpected developments, and the preview notes Danhausen has been involved in a storyline with Gunther, who has hinted he plans to make the occasion special for the unusual host. The themed presentation supplements the three announced championship matches on the card.

The October 30 SmackDown at the Charleston Coliseum arrives one week before Crown Jewel on November 7, meaning any title changes or significant developments on this special episode could have direct implications for the Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia.
