South Africa v Australia: day three of second men’s Test at St George’s Park — live

South Africa and Australia were playing on day three of the second men’s Test at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on 20 October 2026, with play due to start at 9.45am local.

Live updates showed South Africa 105-5 in the 46th over, with Bavuma on 42 and Mulder on 9; Boland to Bavuma produced a defended ball that was deflected to leg for Bavuma’s first run of the day, and Mulder followed.

Earlier, at 103-5 in the 45th over (Bavuma 41, Mulder 8), Boland misfielded at fine leg and touched Mulder’s glance but could not stop it reaching the rope; the updates reported Cummins was not wildly impressed, that Mulder had batted well in the Durban rearguard, and that he had three tons in his career, all against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.
