South Africa v Australia second men’s Test, day four — Australia 11-2
Cricket
South Africa are hosting Australia at St George’s Park in the second men’s Test on day four, with Australia 11-2 in the sixth over, Head 9 and Labuschagne 0.
The coverage singles out Labuschagne as a key focus, citing his defensive innings at Lord’s in 2019 and Old Trafford in 2023 when he helped bat out time to preserve draws, and noting the Old Trafford innings was his most recent Test hundred, over three years ago.
Boland had survived until morning to protect the specialist bats. He was dismissed after reaching for a left-arm delivery from Jansen that angled across him and nicked behind.
