Spain to host Czechia at Estadio Carlos Tartiere in UEFA Nations League group stage clash

On October 3, 2026, Spain will face the Czech Republic at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere in Oviedo in their third group match of the UEFA Nations League 2026-27, with pre-match updates confirming both teams’ form and personnel issues.

Luis de la Fuente’s Spain arrive having extended their winning run after a 4-1 victory over Luka Modric’s Croatia, while Santi Denia’s Czech side come off a 0-2 loss to England; the fixture is scheduled to take place at Estadio Carlos Tartiere in Oviedo, Spain.

Spain’s 4-1 win over Croatia included an early goal that increased pressure on the opponents, and the match report notes that a 19-year-old scored a sensational brace; Lamine Yamal supplied an assist and was active on the right wing.

Czechia’s most recent Nations League outing ended 0-2 against England, during which they failed to establish control and were reduced to 10 men after Pavel Šulc received a red card in the 23rd minute, a setback the report says has left the Repre under pressure.

The preview states Spain will look to take control from the start and that playing at home will be an advantage for La Roja, who are described as fielding a star-studded lineup for the clash.

Michal Sadílek, described as a 27-year-old capable of establishing strong midfield control and helping in the backline, is identified as an important player for Czechia who will be expected to step up against the world champions.
