Square Enix has disclosed the PC requirements, platform download sizes and pre-load timing for Final Fantasy Resonance in the lead-up to the game's October 22, 2026 release. The publisher also confirmed a pre-load window beginning October 20, 2026.

The announcement covers PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC versions and states the title does not demand a large install compared with many modern AAA RPGs and open-world games. Square Enix listed the build as Version 01.000.001 and noted a Standard edition price of $49.99, with the official release scheduled for midnight on October 22.

Download size varies by platform: the PS5 build requires 11.881 GB; the Xbox Series X|S version is listed at around 14 GB; the Nintendo Switch build needs 8.8 GB; and the Nintendo Switch 2 file is 12.7 GB. The announcement described the Xbox Series X|S build as the largest among the console versions.

On PC, Square Enix specifies 15 GB of free storage will be required to install Final Fantasy Resonance. The company also set both the minimum and recommended RAM at 8 GB, listing 8 GB of RAM for each specification tier.

Pre-loading for the game will be available starting October 20, 2026, two days before release, allowing players to download files in advance of the launch. The publisher confirmed the game’s release date as October 22, 2026, and the launch time as midnight.

Players can pre-load Final Fantasy Resonance from October 20, 2026, ahead of its midnight release on October 22, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
