Squiban and Adegeest form breakaway as stage eight of Tour de France Femmes heads to Nice

Maeva Squiban (UAE Team L’Imad) and Loes Adegeest (Lidl-Trek) formed a two-rider breakaway during stage eight of the Tour de France Femmes 2026, which headed to Nice on the penultimate day, according to live coverage published on 8 August 2026.

With 137km to go the pair held a 1min 30secs lead on the peloton. At 144km to go Lieke Nooijen (Visma-Lease a Bike) attempted to go clear.
