Srikkanth criticises Gambhir and management over Sooryavanshi omission

Ex-cricketer Kris Srikkanth on 15 September 2026 criticised Gautam Gambhir and the team management after Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was left out of India's T20 opening match.
Srikkanth highlighted Sooryavanshi's performance against Zimbabwe, where he was named Player of the Series, and said the management had not given him a fair opportunity.
He also expressed concern about the inconsistent selection of Sanju Samson and called for more transparent selection policies for both players.
