St Helens and Hull FC to play Dublin Super League double-header on 25 April 2027

St Helens will face Hull FC in Dublin at Laya Arena on Sunday, 25 April 2027 as part of a Super League double-header. The date was revealed by Saints chairman Eamonn McManus.

McManus announced the fixture before Thursday evening's game between the two clubs at the BrewDog Stadium. Laya Arena, formerly known as the RDS Arena, reopened earlier this month after refurbishment and is the refurbished 20,000-capacity home of Leinster rugby union.

"We've today signed a formal partnership with Hull FC," McManus told Sky Sports. "We've been in discussions with them and with Warrington and Wigan for some while now that we will supplement the Saturday fixture with a Sunday game between Saints and Hull FC."

Hull FC chairman Andrew Thirkell said he was "delighted" to be part of the occasion. "We know our supporters enjoy making special occasions of away fixtures. Dublin provides the perfect destination for what we hope will become a fantastic rugby league weekend," he said.

"We are pleased to be working alongside St Helens on our fixture and collectively with Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves to deliver something that we believe will be a tremendous spectacle both on and off the field," Thirkell added.

McManus said: "It's going to be fantastic for rugby league, we will showcase our game to the Irish who will be open to this sport and will love it. It's going to be a great weekend for us all."

Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors are set to meet the day before. That match will be the first Super League fixture to be played in Ireland.
