Stephanie Vaquer reported to be treated for ankle after 10/12 WWE Raw appearance

Stephanie Vaquer was shown receiving treatment for an apparent ankle injury during the October 12 edition of WWE Raw, following her Women’s World title defense at the 2026 Money in the Bank event in New Orleans. Byron Saxton, positioned outside the trainer’s room in a backstage segment, reported that Vaquer was being treated for an ankle issue.
Vaquer had defended the Women’s World title in a triple-threat at Money in the Bank against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan, with Morgan regaining the championship after delivering the oblivion and pinning Vaquer. The segment on Raw noted that Vaquer came close to retaining but that a lapse in focus, when she sent Lynch through a table ringside, contributed to Morgan’s victory; Morgan had lost the title last month at a house show in Chile.
On Raw, Vaquer appeared on crutches and told those present she would be fine; she acknowledged disappointment at the match outcome and said that every loss made her better. The broadcast indicated she was receiving treatment for an apparent ankle injury and showed her leaving the area with assistance.
Becky Lynch confronted Vaquer in the backstage segment, verbally berating her for costing them the championship, and Vaquer pushed back by saying she had done Lynch a favor. Vaquer also said the ankle issue would only keep her out for a few days and that she did not need to be champion to "kick Lynch’s a*s," to which Lynch responded that she would be ready.
The segment suggested the rivalry between Lynch and Vaquer is ongoing and that WWE may continue the storyline, but there has been no additional update or official announcement clarifying the nature of Vaquer’s injury. It remains unconfirmed whether the matter is a legitimate medical issue or part of the on-screen storyline.
Observers noted Vaquer appeared to struggle with her ankle during the Money in the Bank match and required assistance from referee Jessika Carr to move around the ringside area after the bout. Vaquer was carried backstage by her boyfriend and fellow WWE performer Myles Borne, who posted a photo on his Instagram Story showing him carrying her along with the message: “The strongest and most brave woman I know. You deserve everything that is good my beautiful girl. I got you queen, you are loved and you are safe”.
Aside from the Raw announcement and the Instagram post, there is no update on the severity of Vaquer’s ankle injury or on a potential return timeline.
