Superstars confirmed for WWE SmackDown on October 9, 2026 at Cajundome include CM Punk, Charlotte Flair, Cody Rhodes and more

WWE SmackDown will take place at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana on October 9, 2026, the night before Money in the Bank 2026, and the advertised roster for the episode includes CM Punk, Charlotte Flair, Cody Rhodes and other featured superstars.

The October 2 edition of SmackDown provided a complete list of participants for the Money in the Bank ladder matches, and the October 9 show will give those competitors a chance to address fans in Lafayette ahead of the pay-per-view. Money in the Bank 2026 is scheduled for October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed last Friday that Tatum Paxley and Charlotte Flair will receive a tag team title opportunity on the October 9 show. After falling short of the Money in the Bank qualification, Flair consoled Tatum with a title opportunity she earned from the SmackDown General Manager. The challengers previously defeated the champions in a non-title match on September 4, with Paxley pinning Reid after Cemetery Drive.

The pairing of Flair and Paxley arrives with contrasting experience: the article states Flair brings extensive tag-team experience while Paxley is still developing on the main roster. By contrast, Fatal Influence is described as an established unit, and the champions are noted as unable to afford complacency after their prior defeat to the challengers.

CM Punk is listed to appear in-ring on the October 9 episode, although the report says there is no particular match booked for the Second City Saint. Other Money in the Bank contenders expected to face fans in Lafayette include Kevin Owens and Trick Williams, according to the advertised lineup.

Cody Rhodes and Gunther are also named among the featured superstars for the SmackDown broadcast on October 9. For additional coverage and updates, the report directs readers to follow Khel Now Wrestling on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, download the Khel Now Android or iOS app, or join their communities on Telegram and WhatsApp.

The October 9 SmackDown at the Cajundome serves as the final televised stop before Money in the Bank 2026, which is set for October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
