Tatum Paxley debuts on SmackDown, aligns with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss

Tatum Paxley made her main-roster debut on the August 7 edition of WWE SmackDown, arriving during the post-SummerSlam main event in which Charlotte Flair faced Jade Cargill. Paxley and Alexa Bliss appeared at ringside; Paxley leapt from the ringpost to hit a crossbody on B-Fab and Michin as Flair pinned Cargill for the victory.

The match featured B-Fab and Michin consistently interfering to assist Cargill, and Bliss returned during the bout after being sidelined before SummerSlam by an attack from Jade and her allies. PWInsider Elite reported Paxley was backstage at the show ahead of her television appearance. Paxley entered SmackDown having been part of WWE’s NXT roster prior to the jump.

Flair capitalized on the stoppage to secure the pinfall, and the broadcast closed with Flair, Bliss and Paxley celebrating the win together. Paxley’s crossbody directly removed Cargill’s ringside support, allowing Flair the opportunity to finish the match.

A report from False Finish said Charlotte Flair personally pushed for Paxley to join her and Alexa Bliss on Friday Night SmackDown, with sources indicating Flair requested Paxley’s addition to the roster group. That account frames the new trio as a coordinated alignment rather than a spontaneous post-match alliance.

Paxley’s arrival altered the dynamics of the ongoing rivalry: her addition evened the odds for Flair and Bliss against Jade, Michin and B-Fab, and the storyline will proceed as a faction conflict rather than a one-on-one program between Flair and Cargill. The shift converts the pairing from a singles feud into a group-versus-group angle.

The SmackDown appearance marked Paxley’s first WWE television showing since she lost to Kelani Jordan on the June 30 episode of WWE NXT. Paxley has held the NXT Women’s title as well as the Women’s North American title on WWE’s developmental brand.

With her main-roster debut alongside Flair and Bliss, Paxley can set her sights on titles on the main roster, and the report noted she will likely be featured heavily on programming with her new partners.
