Tejasvi Dahiya’s 60 not out steers Superstarz to six-wicket DPL win at Arun Jaitley

Tejasvi Dahiya’s unbeaten 60 off 29 balls propelled South Delhi Superstarz to a six-wicket victory over New Delhi Tigers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the Delhi Premier League on Saturday, the chase completed with two balls to spare.
With regular captain Ayush Badoni named as an Impact Player for the match, Tejasvi assumed the captaincy and led the successful chase; New Delhi Tigers were asked to bat and posted 217 for seven in their 20 overs, setting a target of 218 which Superstarz reached in 19.4 overs.
Asked to bat by South Delhi, the Himmat Singh-led Tigers produced a series of contributions across their order: Vaibhav Rawal scored 44 off 30 deliveries, Himmat Singh made 38 off 19, Lakshay Thareja finished unbeaten on 30 off 16, and Manish Sehrawat, promoted to No. 7, struck a 20-ball 42 that included three fours and four sixes to bolster the total in the closing stage.
Tejasvi’s counterpunch came in the chase, an unbeaten 60 (6x4, 4x6) that anchored the innings while Ayush Badoni added 35 and Pranav Pant contributed 32 as South Delhi reached 218 for four in 19.4 overs.
In the bowling departments, Laxman returned figures of 2/40 for New Delhi during the chase, while Divansh Rawat claimed 2/53 for Superstarz in the Tigers’ innings.
