East Bengal will face Al-Seeb at the Al-Seeb Stadium in Oman on October 27 in an AFC Champions League Two fixture scheduled to kick off at 09:30 PM IST. The two clubs meet as part of a pair of fixtures between them in quick succession in the group stage.

East Bengal arrive in Asia having scored 11 goals in their last three matches across all competitions under Antonio López Habas, but the side have conceded leads and dropped five points from winning positions in the AFC Champions League Two. Al-Seeb entered the group stage directly after winning the 2025-26 Oman Professional League and avoided the preliminary round that ended in last season’s elimination by FC Goa, who defeated them 2-1 at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa. The Omani champions have made a sluggish start in Group D, losing 1-0 to Al Shorta SC and 3-0 to Al Hussein SC, and sit bottom after two matches. Domestically, Al-Seeb have won three and lost two of their last five games and are currently fourth in the 2026-27 Oman Professional League, potentially five points behind Al-Nasr if Al-Nasr win their game in hand.

Omar Al-Malki is a multi-positional attacker who usually operates as a second striker or attacking midfielder but can also play on the wings and in central midfield, the latter position he occupied in Al-Seeb’s defeat to Al Hussein in the 2026-27 AFC Champions League Two. He has registered two goal contributions in the league so far this season and is noted in the club report for his off-the-ball movement and tactical flexibility that allows him to find pockets of space and play line-breaking passes.

At 37, Abdul Aziz Al-Muqbali remains a focal point of Al-Seeb’s attack, having scored three goals in the four games he featured in the Oman Professional League Cup. The club record in the piece notes he has represented the Oman national team almost 100 times over a decade and scored 34 goals, the third-highest tally in the country’s history. The profile adds that Muqbali began his career as a centre-forward but has more recently operated as a second striker, using his physicality, aerial ability and left-foot shooting from tight angles and long range, and that he is dependable from the penalty spot and a set-piece threat due to his stature.

Axel Meye has started and played the full 90 minutes in both of Al-Seeb’s Group D matches but has not scored in 180 minutes on the Asian stage. In contrast, he has been productive in domestic competitions, with six goal contributions in five Oman Professional League games and three goals in the Oman Professional League Cup, including a hat-trick against Sohar SC. The club report describes Meye as a forward who exploits quick transitions with pace and explosiveness, is willing to test goalkeepers from distance and creates space by moving into wider areas to combine with teammates.

Al-Seeb are managed by Romanian coach Florin Motroc and will be searching for their first points in Group D as they host East Bengal. East Bengal will aim to take maximum return from the two fixtures, while Al-Seeb seek to arrest a two-game losing start to their AFC Champions League Two campaign.

The first meeting between the sides is scheduled for October 27 at Al-Seeb Stadium, kickoff 09:30 PM IST, with Al-Seeb seeking a maiden group-stage victory and East Bengal targeting all six points across the two upcoming encounters.
