Three changes India could make for final India v West Indies ODI in New Chandigarh

India could make three changes to their lineup for the third and final ODI against West Indies in Mullanpur on October 3, with one alteration forced by injury and others likely driven by rotation after the series was decided.
India sealed the series after two commanding victories in the opening games. The second ODI in Guwahati became a high-scoring encounter: West Indies posted 405/7 and India chased the target with eight wickets in hand, led by Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 223 and a century from Rohit Sharma.
Pace bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the final ODI after suffering a left hamstring injury during the Guwahati game; he bowled five overs and took the wicket of Keacy Carty before leaving the field. Anshul Kamboj has been named as Prasidh’s replacement in the squad after being withdrawn from the India A team.
Mohammed Siraj has been part of India’s ODI squad but did not play in either of the first two matches and could now be considered for the Mullanpur playing XI. The suggestion that Siraj might feature has been raised particularly after India conceded 405 runs in Guwahati.
Shubman Gill has been in strong form across the series, scoring a century in the first ODI and an unbeaten 223 in Guwahati, and India could choose to rest their captain for the final match. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is in the squad and has not played an ODI since the Chennai game against Afghanistan where he scored a century, could return to the opening slot alongside Rohit Sharma if Gill is rested.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, absent from the second ODI, is in contention to come back into the playing XI. In Guwahati, Naman Dhir bowled in that match but walked off the field after bowling the first ball of his seventh over, a development that could create a place for Reddy in the final.
The two teams meet for the third and final ODI in Mullanpur on October 3.
