TNA Impact preview: Oct. 8 go‑home show in San Antonio ahead of Bound for Glory
TNA Thursday Night iMPACT! returns on October 8 at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, serving as the go‑home show for Bound for Glory 2026.
The October 8 episode will feature two championship matches, a major eight‑man tag contest and a singles clash tied to the X‑Division scene at Bound for Glory. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy will challenge Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth for the TNA World Tag Team Championship, while M by Elegance defends the TNA Knockouts World Television Championship against Elayna Black. The program is billed as the final preparations for Bound for Glory 2026.
Matt and Jeff Hardy return to challenge Nic and Ryan Nemeth for the TNA World Tag Team Championship after the Nemeth brothers defeated The Hardys at TNA Lockdown in August to become two‑time champions. That victory at Lockdown set up this rematch, which gives the Hardys another opportunity to regain the tag titles in the lead‑up to Bound for Glory.
M by Elegance will defend the Knockouts Television title against Elayna Black on the October 8 show, with the Elegance Brand banned from ringside. The ban removes one of M by Elegance’s established advantages and gives Black a clearer opportunity to challenge for the championship.
A high‑stakes eight‑man tag match has been announced to determine Call Your Shot Gauntlet advantage at Bound for Glory: Elijah, Bear Bronson, Trey Miguel and Frankie Kazarian, with Avery Styles in their corner, will face A.J. Francis, Brian Myers, Home Town Man and Joe Alonzo. The bout will use a random draw to decide the number 1 and number 20 entries in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at Bound for Glory.
K.C. Navarro will meet Fabian Aichner on the October 8 episode; both men are scheduled to compete in the six‑way X‑Division Championship Scramble at Bound for Glory. The singles match offers another preview between competitors who will cross paths again in the X‑Division scramble.
TNA Impact airs this Thursday at 9 PM ET on AMC and AMC+ in the United States. It is also available on TNA+ globally and at 8 PM ET on Sportsnet 360 in Canada.
Bound for Glory 2026 is scheduled for October 11, 2026, at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, making the October 8 episode the promotion’s final broadcast before the event.
