TNA Lockdown set for August 23 at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago
TNA will stage Lockdown on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The promotion is billing the show as the 13th edition of Lockdown and its first outing as a pay‑per‑view since 2014.
The event returns with its signature stipulation: every match on the card takes place inside a steel cage. Lockdown was last held in 2016 and the promotion has scheduled a pre‑show to air on TNA’s digital platforms one hour before the main PPV card. TNA Lockdown will air live on pay‑per‑view and on TNA+ across most regions, and the event will be telecast in India on Eurosport India alongside TNA+.
The TNA World Tag Team Championship is on the line with champions The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) defending against The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth). The Knockouts World Tag Team titles will also be contested as DemonXBunny (Rosemary and Allie) face The Elegance Brand (Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance). Those bouts were listed among the matches announced for the Lockdown card.
Jason Hotch will defend the TNA International Championship against Mustafa Ali. Xia Brookside will put the Knockouts World Championship on the line against Elayna Black. Cedric Alexander defends the X Division title against Leon Slater in a Last Man Standing match, with the stipulation that Slater’s previous title reign will be erased from history if he loses.
The card is topped off by a Lethal Lockdown match pitting The System against the team of Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada Stone. Avery Styles has been confirmed for Lockdown at the Credit Union 1 Arena; the announcement identifies him as the son of TNA and WWE legend AJ Styles. His participation was confirmed in TNA’s event announcements ahead of the show.
TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella appeared at an AAW Wrestling event and announced that AAW Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo will defend the AAW Heavyweight Championship against The Home Town Man at Lockdown. Marella added that if Joe wins, he will get a TNA Contract. The appearance and the stipulation were shared during the promotion’s lead‑up to the Chicago show.
