Tottenham to host Crystal Palace in Premier League matchweek 9 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 31
Tottenham Hotspur will host Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 31 in a Premier League 2026-27 matchweek 9 fixture. Tottenham come into the game off a 2-0 win over Chelsea and are on a two-match winning run, while Crystal Palace have lost their last two Premier League games.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side occupy 14th place on the table and will be looking to use home conditions to build on recent form. The Pierre Sage-led side sit 17th and, despite eliminating Fulham from the Carabao Cup, arrive under pressure and must cope with the challenges of an away trip.
Mathys Tel, the 21-year-old French forward, doubled Tottenham’s lead and completed the most dribbles (4) in the 2-0 victory against Chelsea; he is expected to be deployed again on the left flank. For Crystal Palace Edward Nketiah was the sole scorer in their 1-0 Carabao Cup win over Fulham and will be relied on to improve Palace’s league fortunes.
Tottenham will be without James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall, Xavi Simons, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Savio and Wilson Odebert through injury, while Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended; Destiny Udogie and Tosin Adarabioyo might also miss out due to lack of fitness. Crystal Palace are missing Takehiro Tomiyasu, Chadi Riad and Quinten Timber through injury, and Ismaila Sarr and Jorgen Strand Larsen are not yet confirmed members of the squad.
Projected lineups named in the preview list Tottenham as: Kinsky (GK); Gray, Van Hecke, Van de Ven, Robertson; Tonali, Fernandes; Kudus, Gallagher, Tel; Marmoush. Crystal Palace are shown as: Benitez (GK); Richards, Disasi, Canvot; Khalaili, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Nketiah, Pino; Mateta. The preview offers a prediction of Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Crystal Palace.
