Trent Rockets overwhelm Sunrisers Leeds to claim first Women's Hundred title

Litchfield was caught attempting a ramp off Charley Phillips for 10, Sutherland was stumped off Adams for 25, and captain Dani Gibson—the most expensive player at the women's auction earlier this year—was dismissed for 22 off 16.

Rockets' bowling was shared across the attack as Georgia Adams returned the tournament's most economical figures in the final with 2-9 and Phillips impressed with 2-12. Sam Bates, the uncapped Australian spinner, finished the competition as joint-leading wicket-taker with 13 wickets at an average of 14.46, reflecting his role in the Rockets' collective bowling success. The Rockets, who had topped the group stage, dominated both innings after a period of uncertainty about how their direct route to the final might affect match sharpness; Sunrisers had played an extra game two days earlier while Rockets had not played since Monday.

Rockets will now aim to become the first team to win both the men's and women's Hundred titles in the same year when Sam Billings' side face Manchester Super Giants at 18:00 BST.
