Tripura CM allots land and Rs 10 lakh to Commonwealth Games gold medallist Asmita Dey

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha felicitated Commonwealth Games gold medallist Asmita Dey in Agartala on August 12, 2026, presenting her with Rs 10 lakh and allotting land to build a house.

Dey, who became India’s first Commonwealth Games gold-winning judoka, was praised for overcoming hardships. Saha urged her to stay focused, maintain discipline and aim for another medal at the Asian Games.
