Turn And Burn and Vortex drew attention when horses were exercised in Pune on Wednesday (Aug. 5) morning. The session produced timed efforts across distances from 600m to 1400m and listed individual times, splits and riders.
The morning reports recorded workouts over 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1200m and 1400m with rider names alongside each performance. Turn And Burn (Paramr) covered 800m in 50 with a 600/35 split and was noted as having moved impressively. Vortex (Ranjane) recorded 1-22 for 1200m with 1000/1-7, 800/52 and 600/39 splits and was described as having moved well and finished four lengths ahead. At 1000m, Cashel King (Neeraj) covered the distance in 1-10 with a 600/42 split and moved freely. Organised Chaos (Sandesh) and Shimmer (Akram) recorded 1-8 with 800/53 and 600/40 splits, with Organised Chaos finishing four lengths ahead of Shimmer. Shambala (T.S. Jodha) did 1-12, 600/43 Easy; Shaandaar (Vivek) and Acropolis (Kirtish) logged 1-10 with 800/55 and 600/41 splits, the former finishing three lengths ahead; and Endurance (Neeraj) ran 1-10, 800/55, 600/41 and moved freely.
In the 1200m section, The Olive Crown (Ajinkya) posted 1-23 with 1000/1-8, 800/53 and 600/40 splits and was said to have moved well. Vortex (Ranjane) and Giant Gold (Aditya) both recorded 1-22 with 1000/1-7, 800/52 and 600/39 splits; the report states Vortex moved well and finished four lengths ahead. Encino (Sandesh) completed 1200m in 1-25 with 1000/1-10, 800/54 and 600/40 splits and moved well.
Over 1400m, Thalassa (Sandesh) covered the distance in 1-41 with a 600/43 split and was described as having moved fluently. Zacharias (Zervan) recorded 1-38 with splits of 1200/1-23, 1000/1-8, 800/52 and 600/39 and was said to have moved nicely.
