Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced New Game Plus arrives next week

On October 24, 2026, Ubisoft announced that a New Game Plus mode for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will arrive next week, with the company indicating an expected release window of October 26 to November 1, 2026 while no firm date has been provided.
The New Game Plus mode will allow players to replay Edward Kenway’s pirate campaign with a fresh progression. Ubisoft announced the update on social media, posting "New Game+ is coming to Black Flag Resynced next week! 🥂🎊 pic.twitter.com/nUYYmpzFS7". Game director Richard Knight had previously discussed the possibility of adding New Game Plus and said the team was exploring different ways to implement it.
Ubisoft has not revealed the complete details yet, including which items, abilities, or upgrades will carry over. The company also has not confirmed what players will carry over into their second journey. Richard Knight’s earlier comments framed the mode as something the team was still designing rather than a finished feature.
The feature is expected to arrive with unique challenges because of the world design and progression system. Ubisoft has not confirmed whether the mode will include exclusive rewards, new cosmetics, or additional challenges. The publisher has said more information will be released as the update release approaches.
Fans have expressed hope that New Game Plus will include new challenges, rewards and exclusive items and cosmetics to make a second playthrough appealing. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
