Undercover, Chagall, Zuccaro and Mansa Musa impress in Pune morning gallops
Undercover, Chagall, Zuccaro and Mansa Musa impressed during a morning exercise session in Pune on Saturday (Aug. 22). The report detailed timed works for numerous horses over distances from 600m to 1,600m.
The 600m gallops included Aries (Peter) 40, described as Easy; Brihati (S.J. Sunil) and Casuarina (Peter) 41, noted as they were easy; and Immortal Star (Gore) and Star Dream (Saurav) 40, who finished level freely.
At 800m, Styx (T.S. Jodha) and Ricochet (P. Vinod) recorded 52 with 600/38, with the former urged and finishing a distance ahead; Winter Sun (Peter) did 57, 600/41 and was reported as Easy; Shubhankar (Bhawani) posted 52, 600/39 and worked well.
Other 800m outings included Valtat (Merchant) and Expedite (C. Umesh) at 55, 600/42, with the former ending two lengths in front, while Renoir (Shahrukh) completed 50, 600/38 and was said to have moved well.
Over 1,000m, Manuel (Vivek) and Zoe (Kirtish) recorded 1-12, 600/43 and were described as easy; Scorcher (T.S. Jodha) and Starbuster (P. Vinod) did 1-9, 800/53, 600/40 and moved level freely; Eastern Monarch (Gore) and Ultimo (Kaviraj) both posted 1-7, 800/52, 600/39 with the former worked well and the latter moved well.
Undercover (C. Umesh) completed 1-19 at 1,200m with intermediate splits of 1000/1-4, 800/50 and 600/38, and "Responded well to the urgings." Fynbos (Vivek) and Duke Of Tuscany (Kirtish) covered 1-22, 1000/1-7, 800/53, 600/40, with Fynbos making up three lengths to finish level.
Dream Alliance (Antony Raj) did 1-39 at 1,400m with 1200/1-25, 800/56, 600/42 and was reported to have moved freely; Mansa Musa (T.S. Jodha) recorded 1-36, 1200/1-21, 1000/1-7, 800/53, 600/39 and was said to have moved impressively.
At 1,600m Mahogany (Vivek) and Bishop (Kirtish) posted 1-54, 1200/1-24, 800/55, 600/41 with the former finishing five lengths ahead; Chagall (Ajinkya) and Zuccaro (Vivek) covered 1-50, 1400/1-35, 1200/1-20, 1000/1-5, 800/50, 600/38 and "moved neck and neck freely."
