Carlos Alcaraz and Serena Williams headline the US Open 2026 mixed doubles field at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, with the three-day event scheduled for August 24 to 26, 2026 ahead of the final Grand Slam of the year.

The mixed doubles competition returns after a revamped debut last year, with the new format pairing several top ATP and WTA singles players in a shortened doubles setup; organisers say this year’s entry list is stronger and has doubled the excitement. It will mark the Spaniard’s return to competitive tennis for the first time since suffering the wrist injury in April, which had sidelined him for so long, while Serena Williams will be making her first return to New York since 2022.

Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka form another high-profile combination, with the WTA World No. 1 featuring in the event for the first time and Djokovic aiming to improve on his opening-round exit last year; Sabalenka spoke about playing mixed doubles with Novak Djokovic at the U.S. Open after her win over Gibson in Cincinnati “Are the rumors true that there’s an Aryna Nole teaming up at the U.S. Open in mixed doubles? Who slid into whose DMs?” 😂Aryna: “Well you know, he… pic.twitter.com/FhM0yxTkgt

Defending champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori will attempt to complete a three-peat, while Casper Ruud returns after reaching last year’s final and will contest this year alongside Diana Shnaider. The main draw is set, and organisers have also scheduled qualifying rounds to award two places into that draw.

Gael Monfils, in his farewell season, is listed to play with his wife Elina Svitolina, who is identified in the entry list as WTA World No. 9. Taylor Fritz is paired with Jessica Pegula after Elena Rybakina withdrew following an injury in Cincinnati; Jack Draper also pulled out of the mixed doubles and later withdrew from the US Open 2026 singles qualifiers.

The mixed doubles matches will be staged on the outdoor hard courts of Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, with no Indian players included on the entry list. The draw includes Mixed Doubles Qualifiers Round 1, Mixed Doubles Qualifiers Round 2 and a Mixed Doubles Round of 16 as part of the competition schedule.

Broadcast and streaming arrangements are confirmed for several territories: in India the event will be telecast live on the Star Sports network and streamed via JioHotstar; UK viewers can watch on Sky Sports Tennis or the Sky Sports+ app or stream with a NOW TV Sports Pass; coverage in the USA will be carried across ESPN platforms, including ESPN2, ESPNEWS and ESPN+, for all rounds.

Qualifying rounds will determine the two qualifiers who join the main draw, with the main mixed doubles competition to run from August 24 to 26 on the courts at Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong.
