Vaishnavi Sharma rises to 94th in ICC Women's ODI bowling rankings after Zimbabwe series

Vaishnavi Sharma moved to 94th in the ICC Women's ODI bowling rankings on November 3, 2026, after India's three-match series against Zimbabwe that concluded in Vadodara, following a campaign in which she took nine wickets in just two matches. The 20-year-old left-arm spinner climbed 53 places in the latest update.
Sharma was one of India's leading performers as Smriti Mandhana's side completed a 3-0 clean sweep in the ODI series. Before the Zimbabwe tour she had not taken a single ODI wicket; she made her debut during India's tour of Australia earlier this year and had played only one match in the format without a breakthrough. The rise in the rankings came directly from her contributions across the final two games of the series.
In the second ODI Sharma produced figures of 4/39 in 10 overs. She followed that with her maiden five-wicket haul in the format, returning 5/39 in 10 overs as India bowled Zimbabwe out for 131 in 39.5 overs in the third ODI in Vadodara.
At 20 years and 314 days, Sharma became the second-youngest Indian woman to claim a five-wicket haul in ODIs and the youngest Indian bowler to achieve the feat in 10 years, since Deepti Sharma. The 5/39 in Vadodara was recorded as her first five-wicket performance in international one-day cricket.

Other Indians also advanced in the rankings after the series. Pratika Rawal climbed three places to 18th in the ODI batting rankings after scores of 100 not out, 61 and 59 not out across the three matches, with the unbeaten 59 off 56 in the final ODI noted as her third consecutive 50-plus score. Sayali Satghare moved up 18 places to 85th in the bowling charts after returning figures of 2/11 in six overs in the final ODI and bowling 30 dot balls, while Shafali Verma rose eight places to joint 65th following an unbeaten 51 off 26 in the series finale.
All of the listed movements were recorded in the latest ICC Women's ODI rankings update published on November 3, 2026, which shows Sharma at 94th in the bowling list, Rawal at 18th in batting, Satghare at 85th in bowling and Verma at joint 65th.
