Virat Kohli was spotted at Mumbai’s Kalina Airport on Tuesday, October 20. The appearance came ahead of India’s five-match ODI series in New Zealand that begins in Auckland on November 4.

The 37-year-old returns to international action after India’s recent home series against the West Indies, a three-match ODI contest India won 2-1. Kohli produced an unbeaten 139 off 88 deliveries in the opening match of that series and during the innings became the second batter to reach 15,000 runs in men’s ODI cricket. He finished the three-match contest with 168 runs across three innings.

Photographers gathered around Kohli as he moved through the terminal. He was seen wearing a checkered shirt, white trousers and a cap. Videos of the airport appearance have circulated on social media, including a post shared by Bollywood Paparazzi (@bollywoodpaparazzii).

The New Zealand tour comprises five ODIs. The opening match is scheduled for Auckland on November 4, followed by the second ODI in Wellington on November 7 and the third in Hamilton on November 10. The final two matches are set for Mount Maunganui on November 13 and November 15.

Shubman Gill will captain India in the first three ODIs. Shreyas Iyer will lead the side for the final two matches. Kohli has been named in both squads and is available for the full series.

Kohli is a major attraction for cricket fans as he prepares for his next international assignment. The series will be another opportunity for the experienced batter to increase his ODI century tally.

The ODI series will also form part of India’s preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. The matches will allow India to assess their combinations and build consistency in the 50-over format, with Kohli’s experience included in the team plans as they work towards the global event.
