The Wanda Diamond League 2027, featuring the world’s leading track and field athletes, will begin in Doha on May 7 and conclude with a two-day season finale in Zurich on August 25–26. It will be the 18th season of the one-day meeting series.

The circuit spans four continents—Asia, Africa, Europe and North America—and will stage meetings across 15 cities, with 14 qualifying rounds determining who reaches the Zurich final. The series will feature 32 disciplines across the men’s and women’s programmes, and the final follows a winner-takes-all format in each discipline with champions receiving the Diamond Trophy. The calendar also offers athletes opportunities to assess their form ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Beijing in September 2027.

Asia will host the season’s first three meetings: Doha on May 7, Shanghai/Keqiao on May 15 and Xiamen on May 22. Those early-season events will give athletes a chance to establish momentum before the circuit moves to Africa and Europe. Each leg provides competitors with the opportunity to face elite international opposition and earn points toward qualification for the final.

Rabat, Morocco, will stage the sole African meeting on May 30, three days after the Rome meeting in Italy on May 27. Europe hosts the largest share of the calendar, with meetings scheduled in Rome, Oslo, Stockholm, Paris, Monaco, Lausanne, London, Silesia and Brussels. The European leg runs through the summer, with Silesia on August 15 and Brussels on August 20 serving as the final qualifying meetings before Zurich.

Eugene, Oregon, will be the only North American meeting on July 3. The venue is described as well known for elite athletics competitions and has hosted several memorable Diamond League performances. Its mid-season date provides athletes another major opportunity to earn qualification points.

The competition has built a distinguished history, with past champions including Usain Bolt, Allyson Felix, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Faith Kipyegon and Mondo Duplantis. The 2026 final in Brussels produced 32 champions, including first-time title winners such as Oblique Seville in the men’s 100m and Cameron Myers in the men’s 1500m.

Host cities for 2027 are listed as Doha, Shanghai/Keqiao and Xiamen in Asia; Rome, Oslo, Stockholm, Paris, Monaco, Lausanne, London, Silesia, Brussels and Zurich in Europe; Rabat in Africa; and Eugene in the Americas. The 2027 season features 14 qualifying meetings before the two-day finale in Zurich on August 25–26.

With the Diamond League concluding in late August, the series will offer athletes a final window to test form and compete against international rivals shortly before the World Athletics Championships in Beijing in September 2027. The season opens in Doha on May 7 and builds toward the Zurich final on August 25–26.
