West Indies and Ireland will meet in the qualifiers for the 2027 Cricket World Cup after Afghanistan's recent victory guaranteed them a place in the tournament, the Times of India reported on August 9, 2026.
The outcome means West Indies have missed direct qualification for the 2027 World Cup and will need to qualify for a third consecutive edition.
Ireland also missed direct entry following their loss to Afghanistan, and the 2027 tournament is scheduled to take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
