World Padel League 2026: Six franchise squads unveiled for Mumbai event, Aug 12–16

The World Padel League unveiled the six franchise squads for its fourth edition at the Dome, SVP Stadium in Mumbai, confirming the tournament will run from August 12 to 16.
Licensed and managed by Iconik Sports and Events Ltd., organisers described Season 4 as the strongest field the competition has assembled to date; the event has expanded since its India debut and moved into a larger venue. The entry list comprises 36 international players and includes three former World No. 1s and more than ten Premier Padel champions.
Season 4 increases the field to six teams and departs from the earlier four-team straight round-robin format that sent the top two sides to the final. Under the new, shorter league-style schedule each franchise will play two matches across the opening three days, with the standings producing an eliminator and a qualifier on August 15. The semi-finals and final are scheduled for August 16.
The six participating franchises are Vedanta Leopards, Khan Tigers, Hubtown Panorama Panthers, Game Changers Lions, Aussie Mavericks Jaguars and VB Realty Cheetahs.
Broadcast rights have been confirmed: the tournament will be shown live exclusively on Star Sports 3, with live streaming available on JioHotstar.
Following the opening league matches, the eliminator and qualifier will take place on August 15, setting the four teams that will contest the semi-finals and the final on August 16 at the Dome, SVP Stadium in Mumbai.
