WWE confirms WrestleMania 43 will remain in Riyadh in 2027 despite U.S. travel advisory

WWE has said it will not relocate WrestleMania 43 and has scheduled the event for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027 as part of Riyadh Season. The decision comes amid a U.S. travel advisory for Saudi Arabia that prompted public discussion about the event’s location.

WrestleMania 43 had been billed as the first edition of the company’s flagship show to be held outside North America, a change that drew particular attention. The travel advisory and renewed questions about security in the region generated speculation that WWE might reconsider staging the Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia. Reports and fan conversation included suggestions of alternative sites, with Las Vegas among the cities named.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reporter Dave Meltzer wrote that the 2027 edition will definitely not take place in Las Vegas and described the city as not a realistic backup option. Meltzer cited information from sources in Las Vegas who said the city does not have the necessary April dates for WrestleMania 43. The report added that Las Vegas is not currently in a position to commit the same level of money it previously spent to secure WrestleMania.

The promotion has not released the schedule for WrestleMania 43. WWE customarily makes WrestleMania dates public as early as October, but the company has delayed the announcement for this edition. The report says unusual circumstances surrounding the Saudi event, including how ticket distribution is expected to work in Riyadh, have contributed to that postponement.

Keeping the date confidential gives WWE greater flexibility while U.S.-based events and competing entertainment plans are being scheduled. It is expected that the promotion will announce the WrestleMania 43 dates during the Crown Jewel 2026 event, which will take place in Riyadh on November 7, and that the Crown Jewel weekend will provide clarity on the schedule.
