On October 2, 2026, WrestleVotes Radio and Fightful Select reported that WWE is considering a rare stipulation match to conclude the Bayley versus Lyra Valkyria rivalry and is rolling out expanded licensing deals tied to Lucha Libre AAA.

The feud between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria began in June when Valkyria turned on Bayley, attacking her tag partner after another disappointing loss. Creative avenues to close the rivalry have been discussed as recently as last week, according to WrestleVotes Radio of Fightful Select. The program placed the feud on pause during Bayley’s absence amid rumors about her contract situation. Bayley returned last month, which resumed on-screen interaction between the two competitors.

WrestleVotes Radio described the proposed blowoff as a “rare” stipulation match but specified it would not be a Hell in a Cell encounter. The report framed the concept as a definitive finish to the ongoing storyline between Bayley and Valkyria. WWE sources spoke about the idea in creative discussions rather than announcing a scheduled date or venue. The promotion has not confirmed the match type publicly.

Since Bayley’s return, the pair have met on television: on the September 21 edition of Raw Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley. On the September 28 edition of Raw Bayley interfered in Valkyria’s match against Iyo Sky, distracting Lyra and helping Iyo to secure the victory. Those results have been the most recent on-screen developments cited in reports about the feud.

WrestleVotes Radio also reported that WWE has major plans to increase Lucha Libre AAA’s presence in merchandise, collectibles and video games. According to the report, several new licensing deals connected to AAA have already launched or are expected to roll out soon as the Stamford-based promotion incorporates AAA into its broader business operations. The expansion is being handled through WWE’s licensing channels in coordination with AAA.

Fightful Select added that select stars will be featured in upcoming Topps trading card sets, Funko Pop lineups, and the next WWE 2K release. AAA-branded items have already been announced through the QuBee fidget toy and Big Shots collectible lines, with additional partnerships reportedly in the pipeline. Talent from AAA are expected to appear in future Topps sets and planned Funko Pop figures, per the reporting.

WWE, together with AAA, recently produced Worlds Collide, which was pre-taped this past weekend in Chicago and initially ran opposite AEW All Out. The show aired on tape delay on Wednesday on YouTube and that broadcast went head-to-head with AEW Dynamite, according to the reports. Those scheduling details were cited alongside the licensing announcements and creative discussions.

Fightful Select reports that AAA wrestlers are expected to be included in the next WWE 2K release, which is expected in 2027, and WrestleVotes Radio said the rare stipulation idea for Bayley and Lyra was discussed as recently as last week.
