Main Event has served as a stage for performers from Raw, SmackDown and NXT since its 2012 debut, and the show now streams on Rumble under WWE’s distribution agreement with the platform. Although the episode is listed for Wednesday, November 4 in the United States, WWE taped it at the Barclays Center because of Crown Jewel travel arrangements. The live-to-tape format has been used this week as talent move between events.

The announced card for the episode lists four singles bouts: Giulia vs Nia Jax, Rey Fenix vs Akira Tozawa, Paige vs Candice LeRae, and Kiyoki vs Tama Tonga. The preview notes Rey Fenix as AAA World Cruiserweight Champion and identifies Tama Tonga as WWE Tag Team Champion.

Giulia enters the match coming off a recent loss to Bayley and will aim to reset with a victory over Nia Jax. That matchup is framed in the preview as an immediate chance for Giulia to rebound after the Bayley result.

Rey Fenix is described as seeking to maintain strong form following his most recent title win as he meets Akira Tozawa. In the men’s division preview, Kiyoki’s previous tag team outing ended in a no contest, and the show casts his singles bout against Tama Tonga as a test following that result.
