WWE RAW (September 7, 2026) to begin Money in the Bank qualifiers; Liv Morgan to defend Women’s World Title vs Stephanie Vaquer

WWE has confirmed that the September 7, 2026 edition of Monday Night Raw, to be broadcast live from the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama, will begin qualifying matches for both the Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches and will include a Women’s World Championship defense. Liv Morgan is scheduled to put the Women’s World Championship on the line against Stephanie Vaquer on that episode.
This week’s Raw was taped at the Rocket Mortgage Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, and served as a go-home show built around the World Heavyweight Championship’s number one contender tournament. The Usos were ambushed backstage by Royce Keys and OTM, prompting Jacob Fatu to chase the attackers off with a steel pipe. Raquel Rodriguez retained the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Sol Ruca with assistance from Lyra Valkyria, while Dragon Lee defeated Ethan Page to earn a shot at Chad Gable’s Intercontinental Championship. In the tournament final, Penta defeated Rey Fenix to win the World Heavyweight Championship’s number one contender’s tournament and set up a title match with Roman Reigns.
WWE confirmed that qualifying matches for both the Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches will begin on the September 7 Raw, though the promotion has not yet announced the specific competitors. The winners of qualifying bouts held across Raw and SmackDown will advance to the ladder matches at Money in the Bank on October 10 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The winners of those ladder matches will earn a championship opportunity of their choosing at any point over the following year.
The Women’s World Championship match announced for September 7 pairs champion Liv Morgan with challenger Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer arrives after a win over Roxanne Perez in her in-ring return, while Morgan will defend against one of the roster’s fastest-rising stars.
WWE also advertised a special appearance by Birmingham native and TikTok personality Matt Mathews for the September 7 show; the company described Mathews as a comedian and musician. Promotional material lists Mathews among the scheduled attractions for the Birmingham live broadcast.
Penta’s title shot against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Dragon Lee’s Intercontinental Championship match against Chad Gable, have been confirmed for the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City. Those matches were announced alongside the September 7 card details.
The September 7 episode of WWE Raw will air live from Birmingham, Alabama, at 8 PM ET on Netflix.
