WWE schedules two-day Disney takeover at ESPN Wide World of Sports with John Cena Classic on Dec. 14

WWE will stage a two-day takeover at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida, headlined by the John Cena Classic on December 14, 2026, followed by an Avengers: Doomsday-themed Worlds Collide on December 15, the company has announced. The 17-time World Champion John Cena will make a series of appearances across WWE programming in the build-up to the December events.
Cena revealed the new tournament on the November 2 episode of Monday Night Raw and named Cody Rhodes as the first confirmed participant. The John Cena Classic on December 14 will stream live on Netflix as a special edition of Monday Night Raw; WWE has not yet confirmed broadcast or streaming details for the December 15 Worlds Collide show. Worlds Collide will assemble Superstars from Raw, SmackDown and NXT and will also feature talent from Mexico’s AAA promotion.
The December 15 Worlds Collide will carry an Avengers: Doomsday theme timed ahead of the film’s US theatrical release on December 18, 2026, and WWE said the crossover will include co-branded merchandise. Among the items planned are special championship belts tied to the event’s branding.
WWE and Fanatics will operate a two-day wrestling fan experience at the same venue, offering opportunities for fans to meet Superstars, collect autographs, take photographs and purchase exclusive merchandise. The promotion said the Disney-themed takeover is part of a broader collaboration between the Stamford-based company and Disney.
The John Cena Classic will introduce a new championship belt and incorporate fan voting: Club WWE members will cast real-time votes for their favourite Superstar performances, with the top performer receiving the night’s honour. WWE described the format as involving fan participation rather than relying solely on a traditional tournament outcome.
WWE confirmed the 17-time World Champion will make stops across NXT, SmackDown, Raw and at Survivor Series: WarGames as he helps build the December card, and the company posted that Cena is confirmed to return for Survivor Series in Houston on Nov. 28. Cody Rhodes remains the only announced invitee, and the firm said it is expected to reveal additional names in the coming weeks.
The inaugural John Cena Classic is scheduled for Monday, December 14, 2026, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and will stream live on Netflix as a special edition of Monday Night Raw; the December 15 Worlds Collide event will feature Superstars from WWE, NXT and AAA and carry its Avengers: Doomsday theme ahead of the film’s US release on December 18, 2026.
