WWE SmackDown live from Toronto: Blake Monroe in-ring debut, CM Punk vs Kevin Owens (Aug 21, 2026)

WWE SmackDown’s August 21, 2026 edition will air live from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, and features the in-ring debut of Blake Monroe, two title matches and an Undisputed WWE Championship defence by CM Punk against Kevin Owens.

The show is billed to include multiple headline attractions: Monroe’s first singles match on the main roster, a rematch for the WWE Tag Team Championships and the marquee showdown of CM Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Title versus the number one contender Kevin Owens. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are also advertised to appear after last week’s brawl between the two.

Blake Monroe, who made her main roster debut before SummerSlam, has so far been limited to backstage segments and will make her in-ring debut on SmackDown against Giulia, the performer she attacked during her initial on-screen appearance on the program.

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are both listed to appear on the August 21 broadcast following last week’s brawl that, the promotion says, saw both men "at each other’s throats." The pair’s advertised presence follows the altercation that occurred on last week’s show.

Newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga are scheduled to defend their titles in a rematch against former champions R-Truth and Damian Priest. The matchup is presented as a direct rematch between the teams.

In the billed main event, Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk will defend his title against number one contender Kevin Owens; the two have exchanged fiery promos that the promotion describes as having turned very personal, and fans are expecting a gruelling battle between them.

WWE has also scheduled its upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia — promoted as the company’s first-ever Sunday Night’s Main Event — and set Money in the Bank for October 10, 2026, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
