WWE SmackDown on Sept. 25 in Indianapolis to feature Money in the Bank qualifiers including Balor, Punk and Gunther

WWE SmackDown on September 25, 2026 will emanate live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana and will include Money in the Bank qualifying matches with Finn Balor, CM Punk and Gunther in the men’s bout and Giulia, Charlotte Flair and Lash Legend in the women’s bout.
On the September 18 edition of Friday Night SmackDown at Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sami Zayn defended the Undisputed title against Kevin Owens and retained after interference from Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae and the arrival of CM Punk, who struck Owens with the title. That same show began the Blue brand’s Money in the Bank qualifying series when Trick Williams defeated Randy Orton and Rey Fenix in a men’s qualifier and Jacy Jayne beat Alexa Bliss and Jade Cargill in a women’s bout, with Williams and Jayne securing the third spots in their respective MITB ladder matches.
The ongoing qualifying sequence will continue on the September 25 SmackDown when Balor, Punk and Gunther compete for the fifth men’s spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. On the women’s side, Giulia, Charlotte Flair and Lash Legend will fight for the fifth qualifying position, with the winners advancing toward the ladder match in New Orleans.
WWE has listed several featured superstars for the September 25 broadcast, naming CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Gunther and Trick Williams among those scheduled to appear. The announced card confirms the show will press forward with the MITB qualification angle while also featuring other programmed appearances.
The 2026 Money in the Bank event is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the qualifiers on SmackDown are explicitly presented as the route competitors will use to secure places in the MITB ladder matches. Previous qualifiers on September 18 produced third-place entrants for both the men’s and women’s matches, leaving additional spots still to be decided.
The September 25 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will therefore continue the Blue brand’s effort to fill the remaining Money in the Bank slots ahead of the October 10 event at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, where the earned ladder-match berths will be contested.
